Cymbic Wins National Design Award September 13, 2001 (San Rafael, CA) ‹Cymbic has won the 2001 American Graphic Design Award for its Iospan Wireless corporate identity. Cymbic developed the identity in the fall of 2000 as part of a rebranding program for a telecommunications startup, then known as Gigabit Wireless. The award, presented for excellence in communication and graphic design, represents the first national award for the company since it merged with its parent company, Profile Design, in August. Profile has won more than 150 national design awards since 1988. The Iospan Wireless identity depicts a human figure in free flight beyond the horizon.
